Description

The Aegisub mascot is an OS-Tan like girl. Her physical appearance is:

Chibi-ish, cutesy, like every other OS-Tan
Long white hair.
On her left hand, she holds Aegis, the program's name giver (see picture to the right). This represents the program itself, as well as its security and stability.
On her right hand, she holds a magic baton (Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha style) with a cog in it. This represents Automation.
Below her knee, on her chest, shoulders and hands, she wears red light armor plating, matching the shield. These should be simple, but curvy and shiny. Above all, they should look very light (as in, opposite of heavy). The armor represents the stability, unstandard-readability and low memory footprint.
Below her armor, she wears grey (black?) thights. They cover her body and legs, but not her arms or neck.
On her head, she has big behind-the-head style headphones, representing the audio timing capabilities of Aegisub.
Also on her head, she wears a black/grey (same colour as underlying clothes?) beret with asa's logo in it.
Over her chest, a pair of binoculars hangs from her neck, representing video mode.

The description above is not set on stone, so feel free to deviate from it a bit.

Utilization

Aegisub-tan would be seen on places like:

Splash screen of program
T-shirts
Website
On certain dialogs on program, such as sleeping/working on the "loading" dialog, or with a "DX" face on "aegisub crashed" dialog, etc
Maybe on the logo itself? Sitting on it or something?

Satsumaru was supposedly working on this, but since I haven't heard from him again, it's safe to assume that he isn't.

Very early concept by equinox. Based on an early description, so it's totally off from description. The shield looks quite cool, though, IMO. -amz

AMZ's concept art for the Automation Baton. The crescent represents Lua, the Red Gem inside it represents Ruby, the Cog around it represents Automation itself, and the gem at the other end could be a Pearl to represent possible future Perl support.
